let's talk about books, shall we?

i'm a bookworm. i admit it. unfortunately, as life got busy, my stack of "to read"s got higher and higher without even a hint of shrinking.

one of the things i promised myself this year was to read more - to take advantage of the 25 minutes i spend on the subway each way to and from work and read. and i've been pretty good so far, running through about 5 books since the year began.

but the thing with books is that they always influence me. if they're intellectual, they affect my opinion and viewpoint (either to further agree or further disagree with the views expressed in the book). if they're emotional, well... i'm a sucker. sad stuff makes me cry, relationship sap makes me puke, and cute animal stories make me all warm and fuzzy inside
