I was sitting in an edge seat of a three-seater bench on the subway when a fashionista bitch sits next to me and snidely tells me to move my arm. I ignored her. I was sitting there first. If you don't fit in the middle seat, then don't sit.
Not pleased with my inattention, she pushes herself further in and presses her arm and elbow against my arm. I give her a look that says "don't make me beat the shit out of you" but ignorance knows no fear so she continues to try and "make space" for herself.
Now rest assured, as a polite Canadian, I didn't do anything to her. I just took it. But WTF was that?!? Maybe I should've told her off but it just wasn't worth my effort.
I was getting off in two stops anyways so I didn't really care. Every day that I ride the TTC, I realize just how un-Canadian so many people in Toronto really are. And the truth is it makes me more sad than angry.
