i don't know what the f* is going on here. i must have "Sucker" stamped across my forehead. i've been ripped off by Frenchie merchants twice in the last week. part of it is my own fault for not double checking before leaving the store... but what the F!! anyways... í'll be at one of the stores tomorrow on my way to Monaco so i'm gonna ask nicely for them to give me the gift-with-purchase that was missing from my bag a few days ago. i'm pretty sure they'll give it to me. i'll MAKE them.
the other place... well... i will just let that go. it was only 10 Euros.
in other news, it's a good thing i didn't buy my Euros before coming. i got a better exchange rate just pulling the money out of the ATM. mind you, the dollar is doing better today. but i don't need anymore cash so i'm not gonna hit the ATM again. man.. when that next Amex bill comes in, i'm gonna be so dead. but hey... you only live once. and since i'm never in the red... i should just enjoy the splurge. but no more splurging after this trip. NO MORE. especially if i'm making a habit of getting ripped off.
but you know.. it's not just the Frenchies who are taking advantage of me. stupid American kids are taking advantage of my kindness too. this stupid kid the other day cornered me and gave me a sob story about how his girlfriend hasn't heard from him in days, and his mommy can't top up his cellphone card, so can he borrow my phone for 5 Euros. being the nice person that i am, i let him use it... the fucker was on the phone for freaking 10 minutes... at 0.95 GBPs per minute. i should've ripped the phone from him after 3 minutes.... he didn't tell me he was calling ENGLAND! argh. damn sophmore.
