Happy Father's Day!

i was at Shoppers Drugmart the other day... and i couldn't help but laugh my head off when i saw this. i had to take a picture.

the only situations where this could be classified under "Great gift ideas for Dad" are:

  • Dad is a drag queen
  • Dad is a personal stylist (for women)
  • you are a 13-year old girl and you want Dad to re-gift this to you
  • it's a gag gift
  • you are planning to come out of the closet to your homophobic Dad
  • you just want to piss Dad off
  • your dad is Jack McFarland

i'm sure there are other possibilities, but i'm sure you get the drift.

Windows Vista

After 6 years, I finally have a laptop again. But it hasn't been as joyous as I had expected it to be. And it's all because Vista was such a disappointment. I've never really had high expectations for Microsoft, so the fact that Vista can't even meet my low expectations is very sad.

shopping mission

now, i'm sure you're all dying to find out how i made out with the shopping mission today. i'm happy to report (well... sorta happy-ish) that it was a successful mission. i bought 3 skirts, a jacket, and two tops. i've got enough clothes to survive Monaco without looking like a starving backpacker and they're all decent pieces that i can wear to work (maybe i won't wear the satin red skirt to work...it's a little *too* girly). it was tough. i couldn't, however, bring myself to purchase any of the necklaces or bracelets to accent my outfits because they were all so expensive and i could make nicer ones myself for a fraction of the cost. so... i'll go mildly unaccessorized in Monaco. i have big bling bling rings that i bought on my first day here so that'll have to do.
